Be sure to pick the correct weight of oil for what season it is. If it is winter you are going to want to pick motor oil that is less thick, and during summer you want thicker oil. When you pick up your motor oil at the store, be sure to ask, or you can just read the label and it will let you know what to do. It usually only takes about 30 minutes to complete the whole job. For the health of your car you really should change the oil about every three thousand miles. If you consistently change the oil in your car it will last for a very long time, at least the motor will.
