For years, women’s wigs weren’t even on my radar. Art was my goal. This applied until the moment my hair began to thin during chemotherapy. I resolved that I shouldn’t permit the outcome of appearing on TV as a balding Mr. Clean due to unfortunate genetics.

I imagined that I was all alone, lacking my hair. I believed that there was nothing I could do to recover wonderful style. Man, was I foolish. Before I got my favorite real wig, I tried out a selection of ridiculous phony hair extensions that I couldn’t stand. My partner Reginald found me respectable, medical wig websites that carried lace front wigs that would feel great.

So I biked to the Internet cafe and took a good look at their wigs. I found a diverse world of, chic wigs. Their breathable African American wigs suited me best.

Trying on the perfect hair piece, a proud individual in my place may very well foster fearlessness while growing comfortable with her medical hair loss. Never have I been so inspired to strut main street in my fashionable summer wear. It was magical to actually display my new look at the family picnic.

But maybe I could be exaggerating things, but remember my style is an important aspect of your confidence level. Could there be something else to being alive than a beautiful head of hair? Heck, it doesn’t matter if someone told me otherwise. Wigs are stylish fashion pieces to so many women.

You couldn’t imagine what these blessings have meant to me. Only close friends and family know about me and my thinning hair. Still that’s how it goes, I’m wonderfully prepared to to strut my stuff. Lace front wigs improved things for my family and I.

Detractors could call that life’s course silly. Oh well. I don’t care who you are, what creature comforts make being alive so worthwhile? Personally, it’s love and my hair.

Care for Your Hair,

Monica Sullivan
