Sports fans are, perhaps surprisingly, well catered to in the UK. Not only are there a plethora of golfing opportunities – with Scotland’s Turnberry and Royal Birkdale in England as particular highlights – but there are also numerous destinations ideal for surfing fans. Watergate Bay in Cornwall is a great choice for beginners while Pease Bay in the Scottish borders is spearheading Scotland’s burgeoning surf scene.
