Here’s Some Great Guidance for You about Sydney Botox

Botulinum medicine (abbreviated to BoTox) is rapidly becoming established amongst smart Sydney society in fact it is becoming an important part of any beauty routine for many in Sydney.
All the same I never cease to be stunned by the plethora of urban legends and half truths which have originated in connection with the procedure. Here I have listed a few of the more falsehoods which we hear frequently in Star Cosmetic Medicine, where I am employed as a physician.
Myth Number 1: My facial muscles may freeze!
Research indicates there are around sixty muscles under the skin of your face. The facial muscles ordinarily perform harmoniously, however from continued movement lines may form. If excessive BoTox has been used facial muscles may sometimes become over relaxed. The dose injected by virtually all doctors make you appear refreshed, but still you will keep your facial expression.
By injecting a carefully calculated quantity of the wrinkle injection in just the right spot an expressive face is retained whilst any fine lines and wrinkles undergo a softening effect.
Myth Number 2: BoTox is a poison!
This to some extent is true. Botulinum Toxin Type A is the exact pharmaceutical nomenclature. An overdose may loosen muscles that you do not want relaxed and can even make you very ill.
But to keep everything in perspective: a well-known chemist’s expression states that ‘everything is a poison – all depending on the dose’. Any drug might make a person extremely unwell in large enough doses. If you drink too much water it can be fatal.
Myth Number 3: Wrinkle injections will be painful!
Your hairs are thicker than the hypodermic needles we use at Star Cosmetic Medicine. Several people compare the shots to bug bites. Certainly not as bad as having a vaccination.
Myth Number 4: I will lose feeling in my face!
Untrue. BoTox targets the junction between the nerve and the facial muscle, not the nerves of sensation. BoTox only impacts on the relaxation of muscles.
Myth Number 5. Once you start BoTox you have to keep going or else you will develop worse wrinkles than earlier!
This is also wrong.
You can expect BoTox to be effective for upwards of three months. Consequent treatments do last a little longer. Gradually as muscle strength returns to normal the wrinkles will reappear little by little. But they will certainly be no more pronounced than before.
Even if you don’t have BoTox injections again – any wrinkles will probably be a little smoother than if you had not undergone the treatment. This is primarily because you have given your skin a ‘wrinkle holiday’ whilst the treatment was active.
