Ke$ha Fronted Holiday Cancelled

The promoter of a weekend musical holiday outside St. John’s has cancelled the event, dashing the hopes of fans of pop mega star Ke$ha and other performers. Rockin ‘ The Higher East Side was to once have been a 10-hour out of doors concert in Mount Pearl on Sun., but promoter David Carver Concerts said Wed. it was cancelled. The promoter didn’t offer a reason, although it’s known that organizers were nervous about whether Hurricane Earl will affect the event, which had been planned for the field near the Mount Pearl Glacier. “another statement concerning the cancellation will be issued later this week,” a company statement asserted. David Carver Concerts asserted ticket holders could get full repayments beginning Fri. from the point of purchase, or at selected stores. As well as Ke$ha, the bill included the Goo Goo Dolls, The Fray, Kardinal Offishall, Lifehouse and Christa Borden.
